Since reopening on the 12th April, things have been moving incredibly fast. Firstly, thank you to my returning and new customers for keeping me busy and taking the strain off what has been a challenging year for small businesses. 

I recently received contact via email from an incredible camera brand – Nikon UK. HOW AMAZING! As a Nikon user, this was a huge achievement for me and they had asked if I had any equipment in mind that I wanted to try! I have been using DSLR equipment for my maternity and newborn photoshoots as well as families and wedding work. I was thinking about upgrading at some point and the mirrorless kit had been on the top of my list for the longest time. So, I had made a choice of a mirrorless camera, the Nikon Z6ii and the 85mm 1.8 and 35mm 1.8. For a whole month, I had the pleasure of trying out this incredible gear – albeit at home due to the national lockdown so I couldn’t photograph any clients. 

I took to instagram to share my thoughts, feelings and insights! Fast forward to mid-March as the loan was coming to an end, Nikon got back in touch with me for my thoughts and feelings around the enquipment and honestly I LOVED it, I hadn’t picked up my DSLR kit since and I actually felt sad to be returning it. They’d followed up with, how pleased they were to see the content on social media I had shared as it was useful for our mutual audiences and gave a real world view of using mirrorless Nikon equipment. On that note, they had offered me the most AMAZING opportunity to join the Z Creator Community to create content and explore the game-changing world of Nikon mirrorless cameras and lenses!!! I COULDN’T hold my excitement! It got better of course, I was to return the loan equipment but be able to choose equipment of my own to use and keep!!! 

I cannot thank them enough for asking me, which I had to pinch myself several times to be sure of the reality and magnitude of this!
